Associate Manager, Design & Develop Team
Joined Agoda in October 2020

I’m part of the Design & Develop (D&D) Team at Agoda. I began my journey as a Soft Skills Trainer in the Learning & Development (L&D) team. After three years, I transitioned to the D&D team, focusing on designing and developing training programs for the CEG team. 

Agoda has provided me with incredible growth opportunities, including participating in the Secondment program twice. This program is part of our internal mobility initiative, allowing employees to temporarily explore different roles in various departments. It helps avoid routine and keeps work exciting and challenging. Currently, I’m on a Secondment as an Associate Manager, taking on new responsibilities and challenges. 

When choosing a company, I look for both strong internal systems and a healthy culture, with qualities like autonomy and a flat structure. Agoda strikes the right balance in all these areas. It’s a truly global workplace where people from diverse nationalities, backgrounds, and cultures work together, fostering an environment of responsibility and mutual respect. This culture has been inspiring since the day I joined Agoda Korea, and it’s something I still deeply appreciate.

Office Manager
Joined Agoda in October 2018 

As an Office Manager, I’m responsible for creating an efficient and comfortable workplace where our employees can do their best work. I oversee the day-to-day operations of our Seoul office, including budget management, security, housekeeping, and facilities. Beyond daily operations, I organize both online and offline company events, as well as large-scale gatherings such as AgodaFest (our annual company party), to help build a stronger sense of community within the office. 

Since joining Agoda Korea, I’ve been involved in projects ranging from office expansions and renovations to planning and supporting a variety of events. These experiences have given me valuable opportunities for growth and self-development, while also helping me build strong problem-solving skills through collaboration with different teams. Looking ahead, my goal as Office Manager is to continue enhancing Agoda’s culture and work environment, increasing employee satisfaction, and contributing to the company’s growth. 

I believe that working at Agoda is much more than just a job. It’s a place full of opportunities to learn and grow. Through constant change and new challenges, you’ll discover more about yourself, build new skills, and experience a culture built on respect and collaboration in a global environment. 

By collaborating with amazing teammates, I’ve been able to grow beyond simply completing tasks. We share knowledge, experiences, and support each other through challenges. Whether it’s tackling new responsibilities or overcoming difficulties, the encouragement and advice from colleagues have always been invaluable. This positive culture and the great people around me have been the driving force behind my long and fulfilling journey at Agoda.

Customer Support Specialist

I’m proud to be the first foreign employee to join Agoda Korea. My role involves understanding the needs of Korean customers and delivering support to customers through phone, email and live chat, focusing on handling inquiries quickly and accurately. My love for learning new languages and cultures has been a real advantage in working within such a global environment. 

What actually started my journey with Agoda is a demonstration of persistence. After initially being rejected, I attended a job fair in Korea, requested another interview, and was hired! Speaking five different languages has enabled me to effectively meet customer needs. Overtime, I gained experience and with the support of my team and manager, I grew more confident in this role. Additionally, working here has given me the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds, which I deeply value. 

One of my favorite things about Agoda is the Agoda Choice benefit that offers reimbursements for various personal and professional activities, such as travel, learning, wellness, and hobbies like cooking classes or skydiving. In addition, the hybrid working model offers flexibility which helps me balance work and personal life and allows me to spend time abroad or with my family. But beyond all, the most rewarding thing is to work with supportive colleagues and with this open communication culture.

Partner Performance Specialist
Joined Agoda in 2022 

I first joined Agoda Korea as part of the Accommodation Services Team (AST), where I supported partners with their requests and inquiries. In October 2024, I made an internal transfer to the Supply team as a Partner Performance Specialist. My role now focuses on onboarding new motel partners through calls and in-person meetings, providing end-to-end support to help them grow on our platform. Agoda’s global systems constantly evolve, and I’ve learned a lot from these changes, which now helps me support new partners. 

What I enjoy the most about working at Agoda is the culture of embracing change and taking ownership. The fast pace can be challenging, but the supportive colleagues and open culture make it easier to adapt. My advice to future Agodans is to stay flexible, embrace responsibility, and adapt to change. If you’re eager to learn and grow, Agoda is the perfect place for you. 

I also appreciate our strong sense of community. Agoda hosts many fun and diverse events, and I love the company merchandise featuring our mascot, the “Agojis”. These thoughtful gifts create a sense of belonging and joy among employees.

Quality Assurance Senior Specialist
Joined Agoda in 2022 

As part of the Quality Assurance team, I help ensure our Customer Support agents deliver the best possible experience while staying aligned with Agoda’s policies and procedures. 

I also collaborate with the Learning Experience and Operational Excellence-Standard Operating Procedures teams to improve processes and provide feedback, all with the goal of helping us deliver better service to our customers. 

One of the things I appreciate most about working at Agoda is the strong work-life balance. We can use our vacation days flexibly, even half-days if needed. I also like that when our shift falls on a public holiday, those hours can be converted into leave. Agoda fosters a genuinely flat working culture, where relationships between team members and across departments are equal and supportive, creating a collaborative and positive environment. 

For me, the highlight of every year is definitely the Agoda Fest. It’s an annual company party where I can enjoy time with my team and connect with colleagues from other departments. With games, lucky draws, and different missions, there are always plenty of laughs and great prizes. The vibe is so good that I always make sure not to miss it.

Customer Satisfaction & incidents, Senior Specialist

As a member of the Customer Satisfaction & Incidents (CSI) team, I focus on optimizing customer experiences and managing high-risk issues that the Customer Support Team (CST) cannot resolve.  

My role involves Incident Management and CSI operations, where I collaborate with various departments to resolve complex issues and manage crises effectively. I handle high-risk cases, such as customer-related threats and legal issues, ensuring they are addressed swiftly and accurately. My goal is to deliver solutions that positively impact both customers and partners. 

Working at Agoda allows me to leverage my strengths in critical thinking and decision-making. Since joining, I’ve developed a customer-first mindset, focusing on understanding customer needs and resolving issues to raise overall satisfaction. The CSI team plays a crucial role in protecting Agoda’s business value while maintaining customer and partner trust.
