A healthy work-life balance plays a big part in wellbeing and job satisfaction, helping us to feel fulfilled in all areas of our lives. At Agoda, we know that finding that balance is no easy feat for anyone, especially when you’re doing it all on your own. That’s why we’ve taken a holistic approach to work-life balance, providing Agodans with the resources and support to thrive both personally and professionally.

A flexible work model that works for us 

We’ve embraced hybrid work, mixing work-from-home and office days to give our team the best of both worlds. Agodans come to the office twice a week based on each team’s needs, which has done wonders for our creativity and teamwork. This setup allows everyone to balance work and life more easily without losing the in-person collaboration that leads to some of our best ideas. Reducing commuting time has also given us more hours to think, recharge, and spend time with loved ones (including our animal friends!), so we can show up as our best selves at work. And for our customer experience colleagues, we have a rotating schedule of working in the office one week every eight weeks.

Time off when you need it

Work-life balance also means being able to fully unplug. We offer enhanced parental, bereavement, and medical leaves, including time off to take care of family members, along with additional leave for work anniversaries and volunteering. The freedom to work from anywhere

As a travel company, we know how transformative a change of location can be. Our Remote Work Program allows Agodans to work from anywhere worldwide for up to thirty calendar days per year over two instances. Whether you plan to return to your hometown, explore a new city, or get in touch with nature, the Remote Work Program makes that possible.  

Tailored employee benefits 

Everyone has unique goals and needs, so a one-size-fits-all approach to benefits just doesn’t work. That’s why we created Agoda Choice, a flexible benefits program that lets each employee take charge of their own growth and well-being. Support during tough times 

We understand that life isn’t always smooth sailing. In addition to Agoda Choice, which can be used for mental and physical healthcare, Agoda’s Employee Assistance Program is a free and confidential resource for all employees to receive professional counseling service for any of life’s challenges and transitions.

A strong sense of community helps us to feel connected, inspired, and supported, even in challenging times. That’s why we prioritize fostering team spirit within Agoda.  

Want to decompress after work and meet like-minded people? Check out the Agoda Life Groups, our employee-led, company-funded sports and recreation clubs spanning everything from board games and quiz nights to golf and rock-climbing. They’re open to all Agodans, from newbies to seasoned experts, and new Life Groups are always popping up with open play sessions, tournaments, and events. 

We also have the Agoda Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which provide dedicated resources and advocacy to drive a diverse, inclusive workplace for everyone. These span Women@Agoda, Agoda Pride, and THrive (short for Thai Resources for Inspiration, Values, and Empowerment). The ERGs are a safe space for community members and allies alike to get educated and empowered.
