Celebrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Agoda received a bronze in Thailand’s HR Excellence Awards for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion! Aanchal Gupta, (Senior Manager, DEI) and Rea George (Senior Manager, Workplace Experience & Innovation) attended the award ceremony to accept this award on behalf of the company. Agoda is committed to fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered, and we couldn’t be prouder of this shared win.
Enjoying summer festivities in Budapest
Life at Agoda Budapest is never dull! The team embraced a nostalgic flair with the Retro Olympics Challenge, competing in challenges like magnetic darts, paper tower building, scavenger trivia, a typing race, and beer pong. To beat the summer heat, we cooled off with a surprise Ice Cream Day and joined in the celebrations for Hungarian Foundation Day. As part of this year’s national festivities, an official Cake of Hungary for 2024 was chosen, and we enjoyed the winning recipes together in the office.
Celebrating National Day in Singapore
In honor of National Day, our Singaporean team enjoyed a mid-year social, fittingly named Let’s Hangout Lah! There were plenty of games, food, prize draws, and even a quiz about Singapore.
Representing Agoda at Adobe Creative Jam
Our in-house Brand Creative team attended Adobe’s Creative Jam Challenge 2024 and brought home a win! They enjoyed a full day of networking, learning, inspiring demos, and a fast-paced design competition. We’re incredibly proud of them for winning first place and getting crowned the top Creativity team in Thailand amongst 20 teams from other companies and agencies. Socializing in Seoul
Agoda Korea welcomed our CEO, Omri, for a special Town Hall and Ask Me Anything session hosted in the Seoul office. The team also hosted a mid-year social with fun activities like bingo, an Agoda quiz, and a lucky draw. After the games, everyone settled in to enjoy a movie night together.
Joining Techsauce Global Summit 2024
We had a blast at Techsauce Global Summit 2024, one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent tech and startup events. At our booth, our engineers and recruiters spoke about Agoda’s strides in innovation and career opportunities. We also hosted a fully booked workshop, “Build Your Own AI-Powered Internal Search Engine,” led by Patipan Dujtipiya (Lead Software Engineer) and Joel Dickson (Director of Engineering).
Embracing our creativity
The Women@Agoda Employee Resource Group hosted a Palette Knife Painting workshop guided by professional artists. Everyone left with unique masterpieces, and the event was a great way for women at Agoda to bond and connect through creativity and self-expression.
Hosting the First Supabase Meetup in Bangkok
Agoda hosted the first-ever Supabase Meetup in Bangkok at our Centralworld Offices. The event featured an exciting schedule of talks and discussions, covering topics from Supabase vs. Firebase to real-world production examples and custom Postgres checkpointers using LangGraph.
