Every year, Agoda welcomes a new cohort of students ready to learn, contribute, and experience life at a global tech company. Our 2026 Summer Internship Program brought together more than 85 interns for 10 weeks of hands-on experience, professional development, and opportunities to make an impact across the business. This paid internship program is hosted at our Global Operations Center in Bangkok, Thailand, alongside summer and cooperative programs held in our Japan and India offices.
From getting settled into Agoda to presenting their work to department leaders, our interns had plenty of opportunities to learn, connect, and put their skills into practice. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from their summer with us.
Getting started: Orientation Day
Before our interns could dive into their projects, we made sure they had everything they needed to hit the ground running. On Orientation Day, the Campus team welcomed our interns with a full day designed to introduce them to Agoda’s culture, values, and what to expect during their 10-week journey.
The day combined practical onboarding information with interactive learning. Interns had the chance to hear from several Agoda leaders, with sessions led by Paolo Inga (Chief Organization & People Officer), Idan Zalzberg (Chief Technology Officer), First Tatiyavattanachai (Director of Product), Heather Mitchell (Director, Talent Business Partners), and Matthew Greenburg (Associate Director, Talent Acquisition).
They also took part in in icebreakers, fun activities, networking opportunities, Q&As with the Campus team, and sessions covering useful skills such as how to make the most of 1:1s and AI tools they could use at Agoda.
Of course, Orientation Day wouldn’t be complete without a tour of our brand-new office, with highlights like the game room, Agoda Bridge cafe, purpose-built workstations, and community spaces.
Learning beyond the day job: Lunch & Learn
At Agoda, an internship is about more than just the work on your to-do list. Throughout the summer, our interns also had opportunities to build skills that could support them well beyond their time with us through our Lunch & Learn series.
Across two sessions, our Agoda interns explored Personal Branding on LinkedIn and Storytelling for Action: Turning Insights into Impact. The sessions offered practical advice on building a professional presence, structuring and delivering presentations, and communicating insights clearly and effectively.
The timing was especially useful as interns prepared for their upcoming Intern Showcase. Alongside real-world perspectives and actionable tips from our speakers, the sessions included interactive activities that gave interns a chance to put their learnings into practice.
Putting their work in the spotlight: Intern Showcase
After 10 weeks of projects, learning, and collaboration, it was time for our interns to show what they had accomplished. The Intern Showcase was an opportunity for our interns to present their projects, findings, and key learnings to leaders within their respective departments. Interns took the stage to share what they had worked on, the insights they had uncovered, and the impact they had made during their time at Agoda.
This year, interns from the Customer Experience Group, Finance, Supply, Strategic Partnerships, and Talent Acquisition teams took part in the showcase, giving them the opportunity to put their skills into practice and celebrate everything they had achieved over the summer.
Wrapping up the summer: Offboarding Day
All good things must come to an end, and on July 31, we brought the 2026 Summer Internship Program to a close with Offboarding Day, which was all about celebrating everything our interns had accomplished and giving them one last chance to spend time together as a cohort.
Interns joined a Paper Ranger volunteering activity in partnership with our Sustainability team, giving back together before wrapping up their time at Agoda. They also had plenty of opportunities to relax and connect, with a photo booth, informal networking, Agoji Lab activities, and prize giveaways adding some fun to the day.
After 10 weeks of learning, new experiences, meaningful contributions, and new connections, our interns officially wrapped up their summer with us. We’re proud of everything they achieved and excited to see where their journeys take them next.

“One of my proudest moments from my time at Agoda was when my intern partner, Mook, and I presented our internship project to our team for the first time. It was such a memorable experience, and hearing our team members show so much support and encouragement made the moment even more special.
I was also surprised by how quickly my work could make an impact. I didn’t expect to see one of my designs go live on the Agoda website so soon—I thought it would still be waiting to be published! It was incredibly rewarding to see something I had created being used right away.
If I could give future interns piece of advice, it would be to keep a weekly reflection or record memorable moments, even if they seem small. Looking back on those notes later can be surprisingly meaningful, and it’s a great way to keep track of how much you’ve learned and grown throughout your internship.”

“My proudest moment from this summer was during a stakeholder meeting when a senior manager told me, “Well done for your work, and we’re really looking forward to your next update.” Hearing that made me think to myself, “Wow, I’m truly doing something meaningful here.” It was a great feeling to know that my work was making an impact and that people were looking forward to seeing what I would do next.
Something that surprised me about Agoda was just how international it really is. I knew Agoda was a global company, but over the two months I’ve been here, I’ve spoken only English. Experiencing that level of international collaboration firsthand was really inspiring to me.
If I could give one piece of advice to future interns, it would be to spend your first couple of weeks getting as much context as possible. Figure out which tools you’ll need to use, who to reach out to when you have questions, and how everything fits together. Having that context will be very important throughout your internship and help you make the most of your time here.”

“My proudest moment from this internship was at our Finance Intern Showcase, when one of our managers shared that the showcase was by far one of the best events he had attended in his time at Agoda. I felt really proud in that moment because I knew just how much effort my friends and I had put into our projects. Having someone recognize and appreciate all that hard work was incredibly rewarding.
The biggest surprise about Agoda is that everyone has such a great sense of humor. Everyone is so funny! Every time I join a training or meeting, I almost get a migraine from laughing too much. I even asked someone from HR if there was some kind of criteria for whether everyone had to be funny or not!
My biggest piece of advice for future interns is: don’t be afraid to ask for help. I wish I had been more courageous about asking for help sooner because, as a new joiner or intern, you can easily feel overwhelmed by how much information there is at Agoda. If you’re struggling to keep up, don’t hesitate to ask your teammates, your manager, or even other interns for help. Most importantly, have fun and try to learn as much as possible!”

“One of my proudest achievements was being a Scrum Master for a week. During our sprint review, our goal was to finish within 30 minutes, and I was the first person on my team to meet that target. I felt really proud knowing that I had done my job well.
Another favorite part of my internship has been joining stakeholder meetings and seeing how people discuss different topics, work through their thought processes, and find ways to achieve their goals. It’s been fascinating to learn how stakeholders approach problems and make decisions.
I have two pieces of advice for future interns. First, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Agoda is like an ocean, so it can feel overwhelming at times, but always reach out to your teammates or mentors—they’re willing to help.
Second, take ownership of your work. My manager gave me some great advice: don’t just mindlessly do something simply because you’re asked to. When you take on a task, take ownership of it and make sure you understand what you’re doing and why.”

“My favorite memory from my internship was right after I finished my final presentation. One of the panelists came out of the room, and while we were talking, they said, “Why haven’t we implemented this already?” That made me feel really proud.
Something surprising I learned this summer was that feeling confused at the beginning is actually part of the job, and not necessarily a bad sign. Eventually, you do get the hang of it!
One piece of advice I’d give to the next batch of interns would be: apart from working on your project, make sure you take the time to get to know your team and build good relationships with the people around you at Agoda.”

“One of my proudest moments was presenting at a large meeting with more than 90 people. I shared how I used Codex to help build presentations, and afterwards, several colleagues came up to me and said that what I shared was really helpful. It made me feel valued and showed me that even as an intern, the knowledge and ideas I bring can make a difference.
A piece of advice I’d share with future interns is that feedback is a privilege. At first, it was hard for me to accept that I couldn’t be perfect from day one, but I’ve learned that when someone gives you feedback on how you can improve, it’s because they care about your growth. So, don’t be discouraged by feedback. Embrace it as an opportunity to learn and become better.”
