“I spent my first year as a Customer Experience Specialist and have moved into a secondment role within the Talent Acquisition team. I now handle end-to-end support for candidates, from initial screening and interviewing to coordination and scheduling.  My manager actually suggested the current position to me, saying I’d be a great fit. I’ve always been interested in recruitment because I love observing and interacting with people. Also, knowing that my manager recognized my potential gave me the confidence to apply. 

My biggest takeaway from working at Agoda is to ‘act first.’ I used to hold back until I had a perfect plan, but now I know that learning by doing is far more valuable. It’s better to embrace the challenge and adjust along the way than to let opportunities slip by.  The best part of Agoda is that individual voices are truly respected. You don’t need ‘special courage’ to share a minority opinion. I think this is because everyone is so approachable, regardless of their position, creating a very supportive environment

“When I joined in 2018, Agoda was still gaining its footing in Japan. Since then, it’s  been amazing to watch the company scale so quickly and deepen its commitment to localization for Japanese users.  

What fuels my career growth is the ability to embrace new learning opportunities within a dynamic, ever-changing setting. Although change presents its challenges, this environment has been a key driver in advancing my career and refining my expertise. One of the key ways I’ve grown up in Agoda is that I’ve broadened my perspective. Customer Experience Specialist > Quality Assurance Senior Specialist

“I joined Agoda in 2019 after working in several departments, I’m now with Quality Assurance (QA) team. My main role is to review communication between the Accommodation Services Team (AST) and our partners. I evaluate agent performance and policy compliance based on our guidelines and then share my analysis and improvement plans with the management team.  

While I was in CST (Customer Services Team) and AST, I noticed opportunities to improve our SOPs and saw inconsistencies in quality among agents. I applied for QA team because I believed I could help bridge those gaps and drive real improvements in our overall standards.  Agoda is a fast-paced company where changes happen frequently. It’s crucial to stay on top of updates at all times. Also, since there are many internal mobility opportunities, I recommend keeping an eye out for openings to broaden your experience and grow your career. 

What defines Agoda for me is its open culture—a perfect blend of transparency, diversity, and a genuine respect for work-life harmony. It is an environment where every voice is heard and every opinion is valued.
