Utilizing our strong brand and resources, we build new channels to increase the visibility of Agoda and the other group companies, introduce more travellers to our great products and service and deliver significant profits to the overall business.

The Opportunity:

Agoda is looking for an experienced sales professional with commercial acumen to drive our Agoda Media Solutions team on a global scale. Agoda Media Solutions (AMS) helps to bridge the marketing needs of partners to target active travelers on and off Agoda channels. As the leader of Agoda Media Solutions, your main role is to drive our Agoda Media Solutions team on a global scale to deliver revenue targets, improve performance of our products and innovate. 

You will work closely with the BD teams around the world and guide them in their lead gen, pipeline development, pitches, contracting, account management and commercial projects. It is also essential for you to understand data and are able to identify gaps and opportunities to help the teams around the world optimize their performance.  You will also be expected to work closely and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders within the company to help grow the business – product and tech, finance, legal and data privacy, government affairs and strategic partnerships among others. A successful candidate will bring industry expertise, strong business development experience with solid analytical skills and a proven track record of successful implementation of go-to-market strategies.

In this Role, you’ll get to act as a “GM” for Agoda Media Solutions team:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate a team of business development professionals and ads operations specialists, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing support and guidance
  • Drive business development efforts by overseeing prospecting and identifying new business opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of business strategies and product roadmaps
  • Regularly assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize team productivity and effectiveness
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the pursuit of excellence

Business Development & Partner Management

  • Drive business development efforts by prospecting and identifying new business opportunities from end to end
  • Take ownership of the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing
  • Explore and provide feedback to stimulate additional buy-ins from partners 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Advertising Campaigns for participating partners
  • Build and maintain solid and scalable account management and campaign operations processes
  • Identify and recommend future opportunities to enhance program performance in the market in line with company strategy
  • Lead by example – be able to close deals!

Business Analysis & Project Management

  • Create, validate and approve AMS long term roadmap and OKRs, as well as financial plan
  • Guide teams on new projects, processes, and workflows
  • Prepare presentations or reports describing progress toward the program goals
  • Join and conduct weekly meetings where updates are shared with the rest of the management team
  • Monitor usage of resources and budgets and optimize AMS program’s P&L

What you’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Fluency in English (verbal & written) 
  • Strong sales skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to create easy-to-understand data visualizations
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Digital Media and Advertising ecosystem (agency or publisher)
  • Strong experience in leading an agile team and scaling business outcomes
  • Expertise in Business-to-Business negotiations and sales pipeline management
  • Demonstrated success in partner portfolio management
  • Excellent commercial judgment and strategic decision-making skills
  • Experience in designing and launching new products and placements in advertising industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel for work
