A city you’ll never be bored in
Cynthia Aldao
Customer Experience Specialist
“I moved from Geneva to Budapest for a fresh start. At first, I felt quite lost, not knowing the language or anyone in the city. Thankfully, Agoda provided me with temporary housing, so I had some time and space to adapt and get comfortable. During those first few days, I swung by a local comic convention and met tons of new friends who helped me settle in quickly.
In the Customer Experience team, I assist French-speaking customers with their requests, from pre-stays to post-stays. I love being the vital link between guests and hotels, especially when they’re facing language barriers abroad. It’s incredibly rewarding to help people communicate and make the most of their trips. The international culture at Agoda is another highlight; it’s a welcoming space where everyone is respected no matter what.
Budapest is a perfect city for young people – you’ll never be bored here! I love how walkable it is, and whether you’re exploring on foot or using public transport, there’s always something to do. My advice for new arrivals? Look for a studio near essential amenities and act fast when you find one — flats here are in high demand!”
A sense of belonging and mutual respect

“I’m from New Delhi, but I’ve always dreamt of working in Europe. When I was presented the once-in-a-lifetime chance to join Agoda Budapest, I was thrilled. I vividly remember receiving the offer letter just five days before my birthday, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The hiring process was smooth and transparent, with no pressure from the recruiter or hiring manager. Upon arrival, the Onboarding team went above and beyond: they provided me with comfortable housing in a prime location for my first month, and helped me open a bank account, rent an apartment, and find a doctor near my new home.
I fall more in love with this city every day. The Hungarian Parliament is breathtaking, and the famous thermal baths are not to be missed. Budapest’s central location makes it a great hub for traveling across Europe. It also draws in people from across the world, which keeps things lively. The cost of living is quite affordable, allowing for a comfortable lifestyle.
At work, I manage customer communications, assisting German-speaking customers with concerns like booking modifications and payment updates. What I love most about my job is getting to refine my German skills and learn from my incredible team, which comprises 15 people from 6 different nationalities. Agoda never misses an opportunity to surprise and delight, with great company parties and generous support for team-building and volunteering. Most of all, Agoda ensures that our voices are heard, cultivating a sense of belonging and mutual respect in every team.”
An inspiring place to work

Customer Experience Specialist
“I joined Agoda Budapest as a member of the German Customer Service team, assisting customers with their bookings, hotel concerns, and platform queries. I also work closely with partners, hotels, and Agodans from across the company. As a native German speaker, I love helping my colleagues with any challenges and finding ways to enhance our customer communication.
Transparency and diversity aren’t just buzzwords at Agoda. Those values are really built into our culture, making it a joy to come to work. The German team is incredibly bright and full of curiosity. Despite our age difference, I feel welcomed and valued by my team. They keep me young, and I look forward to working with them every day.
I first moved to Budapest as a child, but the city’s charm still amazes me even after more than 40 years here. The stunning bridges over the Danube, the cultural and architectural richness, and the architectural beauty make it a remarkable place to live. I particularly enjoy wandering the small streets in Pest and dining in atmospheric garden restaurants in Buda.”
A fun and supportive team

French Customer Experience Specialist
“I’ve always wanted to live abroad, and moving to Budapest was a dream come true. I first came here from France to pursue a master’s degree, and in my last year of study, I applied for a role at Agoda. Though I faced some loneliness at first, this chapter felt like an adventure I was ready for, and the city quickly felt like home.
As a French Customer Support Specialist, I assist our French and English-speaking clients with handling inquiries, resolving issues, and sharing key information. What I love most is the camaraderie among the French team. We always have each other’s backs, whether it’s by swapping shifts or jumping in to help with challenging cases. Agoda’s open-minded culture gives us a lot of freedom and flexibility over our work, but I do enjoy coming into the office – there’s always snacks, fun events, and a great sense of community.
Budapest itself is a treasure trove of culture and heritage. From picnics on Margaret Island to stunning sunsets at the Parliament, there’s no shortage of gorgeous views here. I’ve visited 38 countries in my life, and Budapest ranks among the most beautiful cities I’ve seen. I love visiting museums, trying local dishes, and renting a bike to explore new hidden gems. The city is both cosmopolitan and steeped in rich history, making it a wonderful place to live and work.”
