Agoda Thailand has just opened the doors of our biggest office yet at One Bangkok, with seven floors purpose-built for powering global travel. As we enter this exciting new chapter, we’re also stepping into a building designed with people and the planet in mind.
Sustainability has been thoughtfully considered across the whole office, supporting both our Agodans’ daily wellbeing and our collective responsibility to build a more sustainable future.
Read on to see what that looks like in practice.
A certified sustainable development

Our new office sits within One Bangkok, Thailand’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Neighborhood Development (LEED ND) Platinum-certified development. This means sustainability is embedded at the neighborhood level, from energy and infrastructure to overall urban design.
Agoda has also signed a Green Lease agreement with One Bangkok as the first tenant in our building, establishing shared sustainability initiatives and commitments across the office development and longterm building operations.
Supporting renewable energy

As a core brand of Booking Holdings, Agoda has been a key contributor to the Booking Holdings` Climate Action Plan, which includes a group-level near-term emissions reduction target for 2030 and a net-zero target for 2040, approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
To reduce the indirect emissions from our electricity consumption, we match the power used across our seven floors with Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). In simple terms, we invest in credits that guarantee for every unit of electricity we consume, an equivalent amount of renewable energy has been produced and added to the grid. This allows us to support clean energy projects while bringing our net electricity emissions down to zero.
Smarter energy use

Our office uses energy-efficient LED lighting with daylight sensors that automatically adjust to natural light levels. With floor-to-ceiling windows around our floors, our workstations also benefit from natural light.
In our meeting rooms, the lights automatically turn off when the sensors don’t detect activity. This helps reduce unnecessary electricity use while keeping the workspace comfortable throughout the day.
Saving water in small, meaningful ways

Low-flow fixtures in pantry sinks and washroom faucets help reduce water use every day. These small efficiencies, across hundreds of Agodans, add up to make a real impact over time.
Cleaner air, healthier workspaces

We’ve chosen more sustainable, non-toxic building and painting materials that meet international standards for indoor air quality. It’s a behind-the-scenes detail, but one that helps create a healthier space for all of us.
Thoughtful furniture choices

Sustainability is also reflected in the furniture throughout all seven floors, including chairs made using recycled coffee grounds, stools crafted from reused fabrics, and desks made with recycled wood.
Over 95% of our new furniture was sourced from local brands and within 800 km of One Bangkok, helping reduce transportation emissions while supporting suppliers closer to home.
Recycling made simple

Recycling stations are conveniently located throughout the office, making it easy to separate food waste, general waste, and recyclables. The system is designed to make sustainable choices simple, seamless, and a part of our everyday routine.
One of the most exciting features of our new office is the in-house Agoda Bridge café, where Agodans can order drinks and light bites prepared by expert baristas. To cut down on single-use waste, everyone is encouraged to bring their own reusable cups to enjoy their coffee breaks at a discount.
Giving back to local communities
As part of our move from CentralWorld to One Bangkok, we’ve also taken steps to give back. Following the floods in Hat Yai in late 2025, which impacted homes, schools, and workplaces in the region, Agoda donated surplus office furniture and equipment from our previous workspace to support local recovery efforts.
This includes 345 workstations and chairs, 328 drawers, and other office essentials from our former CentralWorld office; all donated to local schools in Hat Yai. At the same time, we’ve also repurposed reusable items for use at One Bangkok wherever possible.
