I’m Anna Suchopar, and I’m proud to lead Agoda’s Legal Team, a group that’s as passionate about travel as we are about the law. Every day, we tackle challenges that cross continents, cultures, and legal systems. From Fintech breakthroughs to new digital regulations, we’re at the forefront of legal innovation.
Our mission? Power Agoda’s success through legal excellence, and ensure we achieve the right results, the right way. We work closely with colleagues across Booking Holdings, which gives us a global perspective and endless opportunities to grow. We’re 65+ legal professionals strong and growing, with headquarters in Singapore and a presence around the world. Many of the team are based at our Global Operations Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
Like many of my colleagues, I, too, relocated to Asia to join Agoda, moving from London with my husband and daughter 18 months ago. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’ve not looked back, but it’s a big deal to relocate for any role.

“Joining Agoda was a natural fit for me. I’ve always loved travel and wanted to work somewhere that makes it more accessible for everyone. My day-to-day as Principal Counsel is fast-paced and varied, from reviewing contracts and advising on key deals to collaborating with teams across Asia Pacific. One of the most rewarding projects has been streamlining our contract review process, which has helped us close commercial deals faster and more efficiently.

“Moving from London to join Agoda was the perfect way to combine my love for travel with a chance to grow my career. As an IP lawyer here, my days are filled with everything from reviewing marketing campaigns and filing trademark applications to advising on the intersection of AI and intellectual property. I get to collaborate with teams across the business and help protect the Agoda brand on a global scale—work that’s both challenging and rewarding.

“Agoda is unlike any company I’ve worked for before. The multicultural environment fosters understanding and inclusion, with colleagues from all over the world. This diversity has not only taught me about others but also helped me learn more about myself, making me a better communicator across cultural lines.
As for my day-to-day work, there’s no such thing as a “normal” day in my role. Some days are filled with meetings where I help tackle interesting legal questions, while others are spent heads-down analyzing new laws or regulations to understand their impact on Agoda’s operations.
I confess that moving to Bangkok for work wasn’t something I had ever considered until a recruiter reached out to me. After researching Bangkok’s professional communities, Agoda’s reputation, and, of course, the beaches, I was sold. It was the right place at the right time for my spouse and me as we were both considering our next steps. We relocated from Austin, TX, with our dog and cat. I’ve built meaningful connections with colleagues at Agoda, where friendships often blossom because so many of us share similar relocation experiences. Once you’re here in Bangkok, you might find it hard to leave!”
