The Opportunity:  

This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, partner growth, and market intelligence. You will manage a portfolio of Agoda’s most strategic hotel partners in Taiwan, driving sustainable growth through data-driven consultation, cross-functional collaboration, and executive-level stakeholder management. 

  

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will operate in a fast-paced and highly competitive environment, balancing short-term commercial performance with long-term partnership growth. This is not a traditional account servicing role — we are looking for commercially strategic, data-driven, and consultative talent who can independently influence partners, identify scalable opportunities, and drive measurable business impact. 

In this Role, you’ll get to:  

  • Engage and influence senior and C-level stakeholders through co-developed Joint Business Plans, market intelligence, and data-driven insights. 

  • Manage a complex portfolio of strategic hotel partners, balancing commercial performance, operational priorities, and long-term relationship development. 

  • Translate complex data and market insights into actionable commercial strategies and tailored recommendations for hotel partners. 

  • Utilize AI-enabled tools and data-driven insights to improve decision-making, identify growth opportunities, and enhance operational efficiency. 

  • Drive partner performance across key business metrics including supply health, pricing competitiveness, direct share, campaign participation, and strategic initiatives. 

  • Identify root causes behind business challenges and independently develop scalable, commercially impactful solutions. 

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Marketing, Supply, and Regional teams to identify business opportunities and advocate for impactful changes. 

  • Proactively manage partner escalations and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and alignment across stakeholders. 

  • Build long-term strategic partnerships with key hotel groups and independent partners to accelerate Agoda’s growth in Taiwan. 

  • Support the Area Manager in preparing country reporting, business reviews, and strategic presentations for senior leadership stakeholders. 

What you’ll Need to Succeed:  

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic account management, business development, management consulting, e-commerce, marketplace platforms, travel tech, hospitality, or related commercial roles. 

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities, influence partner behavior, and drive measurable business impact. 

  • Proven ability to build and sustain executive-level partnerships that drive measurable business outcomes. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to simplify complex data into clear business recommendations. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage both external partners and internal senior stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive initiatives in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment. 

  • Hands-on, execution-oriented, and adaptable with strong prioritization capabilities 

  • Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese. 

It’s Great if you have:  

  • Passion for technology, travel, marketplaces, and solving complex business challenges at scale. 

  • Experience managing strategic portfolios or enterprise-level partnerships in highly competitive environments.
