Get to Know our Team:   

As part of the Supply Organization the Performance Excellence team works closely with various other teams in Agoda such as regional BD, Finance, People etc. The team is responsible for, but not limited to, performance management, people engagement and commercial efficiency (including Opex/budget management). 

We collaborate with multiple departments and produce highly visible results backed up by data. Utilizing powerful tools and possessing an end-to-end view of how Agoda works, the Performance Excellence team offers a unique opportunity for anyone who thrives in challenging and fast-paced environments.  

 

The Opportunity: 

We’re looking for a Manager/Senior Manager to help scale and drive performance and engagement globally, with a focus on budgeting and analytics. You will work directly with multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership locally and globally.  

This role will use data to optimize budget allocation and commercial performance. You should be well versed in identifying, presenting and implementing projects in a dynamic environment. Some understanding of e-commerce and business metrics (such as conversion, ROI, etc.) is important, as well as high proficiency in data analytics.  

In this role, you will impact Agoda’s business through a sharp view on data, and formulating structure and framework to existing operations. We’re looking for the future leaders who think critically, test, learn from mistakes, and adapt quickly.  

 

In this Role, you’ll get to:  

  • Lead global budgeting and commercial reporting for the Performance Excellence team (based in Bangkok) 
  • Leverage data to analyze, identify and support recommendations for optimization 
  • Bi-weekly or monthly updates on Opex/budget to senior management 
  • Present proposals and make recommendations to senior leadership  
  • Develop and operationalize tools to monitor and improve commercial performance and measure impact of implemented change  
  • Analyze the impact of business initiatives, use data to make recommendations and propose changes  
  • Set up operational processes and help run the business effectively, which includes clarifying accountability, creating structure and framework, as well as overseeing business-critical success metrics  

 

What you will need to Succeed: 

  • Degree in Economics, Business, or similar field. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.  
  • 3-5 years’ experience in consultant firm and/or BD strategy or finance role. Seniority title based on years of experience.  
  • Strong data skills with advanced knowledge of Excel required. Experience with SQL, Tableau is preferred. 
  • Proven ability to leverage data to inform and influence decision-making; excellent skills in presenting and analyzing data and creating actionable reports.  
  • Strong prioritization and planning skills; ability to quickly make trade-offs and determine priorities, instead of trying to get it all done.  
  • Strategic thinking and planning, effective at breaking down complex problems and driving and managing change.  
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to convey complex messages clearly and with conviction to different stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving change.
