The Opportunity:

The online travel industry is an extremely dynamic and competitive space, and we’ve only scratched the surface. In addition to creating compelling experiences for our millions of customers and hotel partners, we’re building enterprise tools to support complex internal business scenarios. Despite our size, we operate in a startup-like environment, and you will have a key role in defining the future of our products.

In this Role, you’ll get to:

• Maintain and evolve the look and feel of agoda’s Design Systems, its design language, UI components and design patterns, from ideas to execution.
• Work closely with the Creative Visioning team to build a consistent brand and product experience across agoda.
• Work closely with design engineers to ensure a high level of quality delivery across all platforms (web, iOS, Android)
• Document design guidelines and actively evangelize Design Systems to the wider product team.
• Help shape the design culture at agoda that will ultimately impact the experience our customers have with our products and services

What you’ll Need to Succeed:

• A portfolio of work relating to design systems. (ie How you designed and maintained a design system)
• Solid understanding and knowledge of design fundamentals. (ie Gestalt, Color, Typography, Grids, etc)
• A strong understanding of interaction design, visual design and user experience (2-3 years of experience)
• Advanced knowledge of Figma’s design tool. Working knowledge of other contemporary design and prototyping tools, such as Framer or Principle.
• Experience in writing simple and clear design documentation for multiple audiences (designers, developers, product managers and other stakeholders)
• Strong in articulating and explaining your ideas to other designers, engineers, product managers and other stakeholders
• Always seeking out for design system best practices, design patterns across multiple industries and products to constantly shape agoda’s products and design language
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or UX Design, or related design discipline

It’s Great If You Have:

• Experience with React and its components
