Tech Talks: Bi-Weekly Deep Dives
Tech Talks are bi-weekly internal learning events where Tech Agodans from all levels present on diverse topics, offer insights into new technologies, best practices, and innovative solutions as well as real use cases within Agoda for other techies to learn from. Whether you’re an experienced engineer or just starting out, Tech Talks provide valuable opportunities to learn and grow. In 2024 alone, Tech Talks drew over 3,500 attendees—a testament to our team’s passion for learning.
Tech Meetups: Connecting Communities
As a leader in the tech industry, we proudly support the growth of local tech communities, especially in our hubs in Thailand, Singapore, and India. Each quarter, we host Tech Meetups in partnership with groups like ThaiPy, GraphQL, Neo4J, Tableau, Bangkok JavaScript, and Kafka. These events bring together Agoda engineers and local and international tech professionals to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections. In 2024, we welcomed over 500 tech professionals to our meetups and are excited to continue growing.
Dev Day: Celebrating Innovation
Agoda Dev Day is our flagship tech event—a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the collective achievements of our Tech team. Open to everyone within our Tech team, this annual event features engaging talks, activities, and networking opportunities, making it a highlight of the year. In 2024, we hit an exciting milestone by expanding Dev Day to three countries—Thailand, Singapore, and India—bringing together over 1,500 engineers from across the region.
External Tech Conferences: Expanding Our Network
External tech conferences are a fantastic platform for us to share our expertise by hosting workshops and talks. These events are an opportunity to share our insights, meet with global tech communities, and stay at the forefront of industry trends. Agoda was one of the five companies chosen to speak at Microsoft Build: AI Day 2024 in Thailand, where our Director of Engineering, Shaun Sit, shared Agoda’s AI approach and journey with the audience. We also had the pleasure of hosting a booth and a workshop at TechSauce Global Summit, one of the most influential tech events in the region, where we connected with other leading tech companies and global thought leaders.
