This March marks the celebration of International Women’s Day 2025! This annual event is a global celebration of women’s achievements and a powerful call to action for equality. This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” reminds us that at the current rate of progress, it could take until 2158 (roughly five generations from now) to achieve full gender parity, according to data from the World Economic Forum. It’s more important than ever to take swift and decisive steps towards gender equality.

Driving change through open dialogue
A highlight of our International Women’s Day 2025 celebrations was the Acclerate Action Cross-ERG Panel. This event united leaders from Agoda’s various Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including Kris Suebjaklap from THrive, Kanyarat Sumsakul from Women@Agoda, and Pitichoke Chulapamornsri from Agoda Pride.
ERGs are employee-led groups that provide a platform for individuals with shared identities and allies to connect, support one another, and advocate for positive change. At Agoda, these groups play a vital role in creating community and a workplace where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work.
During the panel, the speakers shared personal stories and practical tips on how we can accelerate action and drive meaningful change within Agoda and beyond. By bringing together diverse voices from across our ERGs, this panel highlighted the importance of collaboration and solidarity in achieving gender equality.
Empowering women through leadership and mentorship

Supporting women-led businesses
To celebrate women entrepreneurs, Agoda hosted a catering pop-up featuring delicious creations by talented business owners in Thailand. Agodans enjoyed fresh salads and other healthy treats, all crafted by local women entrepreneurs. This event not only delighted our taste buds but also supported the incredible work of women in the culinary industry.
Finding connection and inspiration over coffee
We hosted a Coffee & Connection event with the Women@Agoda ERG, featuring Victoire Binart, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships. If you’ve never attended one before, these sessions bring people together in a casual, friendly setting to share stories, exchange ideas, and spark inspiration. They’re less about formal presentations and more about real conversations over cups of coffee.
This time, Victoire shared her personal journey and advice, sparking important conversations that left everyone feeling motivated and ready to take action. We swapped stories, asked questions, and just soaked in the energy of the room. This session was a reminder of how powerful it can be to come together and support one another.
