A Day in the Life of a Senior Data Analyst at Agoda
I’m part of the Analytics team for our partner-facing business development group (internally known as the Supply department). My team consists of 40 analysts and we use data to ensure that Agoda has the best prices and widest selection of accommodations, flights, and activities on our platform. Our projects are diverse, covering areas such as market intelligence, business analytics, KPI target setting, and integrating AI into operational workflows.

Relocating to Bangkok with a Cat: A Smooth Transition
I relocated to Bangkok from Dubai with my wife, and thanks to Agoda’s extensive support, the relocation process was seamless. Agoda’s team was highly responsive and helpful throughout the process, from visa arrangements to temporary accommodation.
I also relocated with my pet cat and have found Bangkok to be relatively cat-friendly, with veterinarians and groomers readily available and affordable. Finding a pet-friendly apartment can be a bit challenging. However, there are plenty of recommendations from other pet parents at Agoda, which make the search easier. There are also plenty of online communities active on Reddit and Facebook where expats and locals exchange advice and experiences on pet-friendly accommodations.
Living in Bangkok: Food, Culture, and Adventure
Living in Bangkok has been an incredible experience. I love the food, both local and international, and how easy it is to find cuisines from all around the world and at any price point. I also love how multicultural the city is, offering exposure to diverse perspectives, and the proximity to amazing travel destinations within Thailand.
Outside of work, I enjoy learning new sports, such as rock climbing at Eagle Eye Climbing Gym or wakeboarding at ESC Thai Wake Park. Like many others at Agoda, I enjoy traveling and exploring new cuisines. The best part is that many of these activities can be funded by Agoda Choice, which is a flexible allowance for employees!
Building Community in Bangkok: Connections and Growth
Within two months of relocating, my partner and I had a good understanding of the city and quickly felt at home. My partner works remotely, and many of our friends outside of work are neighbors we’ve connected with over time.

The cost of living in Bangkok is lower compared to Dubai, making the transition much easier. Bangkok strikes a great balance between affordability and quality of life, allowing me to enjoy the city without overspending. For example, a meal at a mid-range restaurant in Dubai costs around THB 1,000, while in Bangkok, it’s approximately THB 600. Veterinary services are also more affordable in Bangkok, with an average visit costing around THB 200. This affordability enhances the overall quality of life and provides more flexibility for daily expenses.
