The Opportunity
In this role as Data Architect, you will be working alongside Data Engineer, stakeholders such as product managers, team leads, and senior management to empower the Tech department of Agoda with actionable data to drive better decision making. You will be integral in the design and implementation of reliable, performant and scale-able data intelligence solution to overall improve our data warehouse architecture, business intelligence reporting, data automation solutions and data product developments.
In This Role, You’ll Get to
- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions focused on developer performance data, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mine, analyze, and interpret complex data sets related to developer performance metrics such as code quality, release time, and bug resolution.
- Leverage BI tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Superset, to create visualizations and interactive dashboards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of performance data.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders, including product managers, team leads, and senior management.
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence, data analytics, and developer performance measurement.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- At least 4 years of experience in Data Architect or Business Intelligence related roles
- Strong education background with degrees in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems (preferred)
- Solid knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or other platforms
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, or Golang).
- A self-motivated, driven, flexible, quick learning, high achieving, “can do” mentality
- An ability to work well independently and as part of a team
It’s Great If You Have
- Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
- Knowledge of big data tools, such as Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with large scale data platforms (GCP, S3, Hadoop, etc.) and modern data warehouse technologies (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
- Experience with software development processes for Agile/Scrum and CI/CD utilizing technologies (e.g. GIT)
- Understanding of developer performance metrics and Agile methodologies.
