The Opportunity:
The Global Investigator investigates workplace reports of actual or suspected violations of the Code of Conduct and other company policies. The Global Investigator reports administratively to an Agoda manager and functionally to the Global Head of Investigations at Booking Holdings Inc.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
- Conducts prompt, thorough, objective and confidential investigations of employee and third-party complaints of violations of company compliance standards.
- Partners cross-functionally with other teams and business colleagues to build trust and create collaborative partnerships across the organization.
- Perform report intake and assessment of possible misconduct to determine appropriate resolution strategy.
- Ensures that investigations are conducted according to company’s established standards and procedures.
- Ensures investigations maintain a respectful culture and support a culture of compliance.
- Model respectful and empathetic behavior in the face of difficult and uncomfortable situations surrounding an investigation.
- Briefs stakeholders periodically on case status, as well as relevant findings during the course of an investigation.
- Identify and make recommendations to improve business operations.
- Manages multiple investigations simultaneously and prioritizes resources accordingly.
- Analyzes data and interprets trends and risk areas.
- Assist with post-investigation remediation, as appropriate.
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
- 3-5 years’ experience in workplace investigations in a corporate setting.
- CCEP or investigations-related certification preferred.
- Understanding of compliance principles and requirements relating to conducting investigations required.
- Demonstrated track record of being proactive, managing multiple cases (with the potential to be in different time zones) simultaneously, and focusing on priorities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a global environment; sensitivity to and an understanding of cultural differences.
- Ability to gather information by examining record and documents, accurately record information provided orally, and to write findings clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with investigation participants, managers, and others.
- Ability to operate without extensive supervision and act as a self-starter.
- Works well under pressure with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to coordinate work of multiple colleagues to achieve project or investigative goals within the given constraints.
- Ability to integrate and balance priorities, work activities and resources for the benefit of multiple key stakeholders.
