Within the Technology Department at Agoda, the Tech brand and community team has the rewarding responsibility to take ownership in internal and external technology community and brand brand building of the organization. We partner with tech and people team to ensure successful delivery of SLA and KPIs. The Tech brand and community team is motivated through collaboration across multiple Technology departments throughout the company. We are data-driven putting importance on experimentation on how to motivate internal communities that advocates Agoda to top tech talent across the globe. The Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented technical writer/blogger to help create and strengthen the Agoda tech blog platform. You will be a core part of the IT team, working closely with tech brand lead and various engineers to create blogs that don’t just document what the product does but accelerates a user from novice to power user. Through the blogs, you must be able to highlight the cutting-edge technology. Agoda employees work with and the impact their work makes, and the pride they take in working on such projects and attract techies around the world to work at Agoda. You will work with experts from the back end, front end, data architecture, and full-stack engineering teams to understand their projects and convert them into easy to understand information material. Your role will also involve editing and revising content to ensure users have the best possible experience ensuring adherence to Agoda’s standards and brand guidelines. You should be comfortable in communicating with tech and non-tech audiences.

In this role, you’ll get to: 

  • Interact with managers and individuals to learn complex concepts
  • Communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users
  • Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality
  • Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and non-technical users.

  • Provide support to other bloggers to ensure consistency across communication
  • Adhere to tight deadlines and Agoda standards and brand guidelines
  • Gather feedback and continue to improvise on those feedback
  • Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others, ensuring a consistent look and feel
  • Provide support to other bloggers to ensure consistency across communication

What you’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong writing, production, and technical editing skills
  • Proficient in (spoken and written) English communication
  • Communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users
  • Must be able to understand front end, back end, data architecture and full-stack engineering jargons
  • Must be able to work minimal direction in a faced paced environment Interact with managers and individuals to learn complex concepts
  • Tech architecture knowledge will be good to have
