Miyeong Yu
Strategic Account Manager

I joined Agoda in 2022 as a Market Manager and was promoted to Strategic Account Manager a year later. My role involves working closely with key hotel partners, helping them succeed on the Agoda platform and boosting their revenue. Acting as a consultant, I nurture long-term relationships while driving Agoda’s market share in Korea. It’s rewarding to see our partners’ success and the impact our strategies have on their growth.

Before joining Agoda, I worked for seven years as an OTA Sales Manager at a global hotel chain and later as a Market Manager at another global OTA. My experience, coupled with my recent MBA, gave me the skills needed for my current role. What attracted me to Agoda was the inspiring people and ample opportunities for growth. The flexible hybrid working model is perfect for working moms like me, enabling a balance between my professional responsibilities and personal life.

Agoda continuously provides opportunities for learning and growth through innovation and new challenges. Surrounded by talented experts from diverse fields, I’ve found life at Agoda Korea to be a great space for self-development.

A fast-paced environment that values openness

Hyerim Moon
Social Media Specialist

I began my journey at Agoda in 2022 as a Customer Experience Specialist. Last year, I transitioned to the Social Media Team, which has brought real satisfaction and growth. Working from home seven out of eight weeks offers the perfect work-life balance, especially as a dog owner. This flexibility allows me to be productive while spending time with my pet.

As a Social Media Specialist, I manage cases that come through various social media channels, review sites, and internal escalations. We monitor platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Google Apps Review, Product Review, and the iOS Store. Our goal is to resolve issues, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall customer experience. My previous experience working at a hotel front desk and guest service center, alongside my degree in Chinese Language and Literature, has been instrumental in navigating this role effectively.

Those who thrive at Agoda are adaptable and open-minded. We embody core values like ‘Move fast and be efficient’ and ‘Be a scientist, experiment and measure’ daily. Some of my favorite memories include our annual Agodafest and a month spent in Thailand through the Remote Work Program, where I had the chance to meet my international team members in person. These experiences make life at Agoda Korea incredibly rewarding.

Flexible work that allows for balance

 

Nami Mo
Partner Executive

As a Partner Executive in the Motel Outreach Team, I help motel owners understand how to use Agoda to increase their reservations and revenue. A lot of owners are initially hesitant about using a global OTA, but it’s incredibly rewarding when they start to see significant growth through our platform.

I joined Agoda as part of the New Partner Team, introducing motel owners who were only familiar with domestic OTAs to our global platform. Witnessing their progress inspired me to continue supporting them in the Motel Outreach Team. My previous roles in the travel industry, including positions in Korean hotels and at the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, equipped me with valuable insights that I apply in my role today.

Balancing work and parenting as a mom of two young children is challenging, but Agoda’s flexible work arrangements have helped me become a ‘supermom’ who can succeed in both. We’re able to work from home three days a week and participate in the Remote Work Program, which lets us work from different locations for up to a month.

I’ve had many happy moments while working for Agoda, but the most memorable was I shed tears of earnest joy with my co-workers after winning Best Dressed at Agodafest. It’s an annual company party where we all gather to celebrate our unity, and the competition is always intense. I was so happy that I unexpectedly burst into tears while receiving the prize on stage, filling the entire room with laughter.
