You will work on aligning Agoda’s strengths with government priorities to make real positive change around the world. The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Government Affairs Associate based in Bangkok, to support Agoda’s government affairs in Thailand. 

The individual will help execute government affairs and public policy strategy, project manage our collaborations with government agencies and provide other support as required, and report to Agoda’s Global Government Affairs team.

In this Role, you’ll get to:

  • Government relations:
    • Engage with the working level of Agoda’s key government stakeholders
    • Draft official communication to government entities
    • Support executive level engagement with key government stakeholders, i.e. briefing documents
  • Regulatory and policy analysis
    • Monitor digital and tourism regulatory landscape
    • Represent Agoda in key public hearing sessions and provide analysis on how these regulatory issues will impact Agoda’s business
    • Monitor political landscape and provide political analysis on its impact to Agoda’s business
  • Internal coordination 
    • Provide translation for non-legal documents for internal use
    • Project manage Agoda’s project with key external stakeholders in Thailand
    • Support administrative tasks and on-ground collaboration i.e. logistics arrangement for government engagements, engaging with vendors 


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 1- 2 years of work experience, ideally in government entities, public affairs consultancy, media, tech companies or non-profit organizations with passion in Thailand’s tech and tourism public policy and government relations
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Thai both speaking and writing.
  • Experience in stakeholders management and project management

It’s great if you have:

  • A degree in law, political sciences or economics. Master degree preferred. 
  • Experience in working with government entities or international organizations
  • Exposure to tech industry in Thailand
