Area Manager
Duties: Plan, direct and coordinate activity in the e-commerce and travel industry providing lodging and other accommodations. Conduct growth opportunity analysis of assigned markets in the e-commerce and travel industry to identify short-, medium- and long-term goals that will accelerate footprint growth across the US region and then build your team to effectively execute these plans to achieve optimal success. Develop a strategic roadmap with associated milestones, implement and execute according to plan with regular progress updates to stakeholders. Maintain close working relationship and frequent communication with key stakeholders and leaders from both Priceline and Agoda to ensure strategic alignment. Experiment with growth initiatives through implementation of A/B testing, measurement, and analysis. Implement strategies with top partners to enhance production and opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage. Develop KPI’s specific to assigned markets, which may differ from rest of North American Market organization. Lead, coach and develop a multi-functional team responsible for driving business performance. Attend and participate in relevant industry events as applicable.
Requirements: Requires 7 years of experience in e-commerce or travel industry as Market or Sales Manager. Experience specified must include 7 years of experience with each of the following: using data to guide decision-making on potential solutions; acquiring, mentoring and building long term customer relationships; MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and data visualization; Hotel and Travel Industry software and technology including direct use of integration between Central Reservations Systems, Channel Managers, Property Management Systems, and Online Travel Agency proprietary software; utilizing Google Suite tools (Sheets and Slides); and reading and interpreting multiple data sources to define short/medium/long term goals. Experience specified must also include 6 years of experience with each of the following: data reporting and data analysis tools; presenting using PowerPoint in front of management and hotel partners; negotiating (internally and/or externally) with hotel partners. Further, experience specified must include 4 years of experience with each of the following: coaching and developing a multi-functional team responsible for driving business performance; and leading projects for multiple stakeholders to optimize performance and maximize revenue. Requires up to 40% domestic/international travel to meet partners and attend meetings with Market Managers.
