The Opportunity:

This role will report to the Senior Finance Operations Manager.

The individual will have a chance to be part of some of Agoda’s key projects and assess the processes involved to ensure financial data generated are accurate for financial reporting.

The individual will be mainly responsible for managing activities such as analysis, validation and reconciliation of data, as well as contributing to the design and improvement of systems and processes involving financial data to achieve better accuracy and efficiency.

The role will require deep understanding of Agoda’s business objectives and operational processes. We are looking for a quick learner who is proactive and prepared to work in a fast-paced and high intensity work environment, someone who is confident to lead a team and work with multiple stakeholders outside of Finance and Agoda. The individual needs to be proactive to work in a logical and systematic manner and deliver reports on a timely basis.

Due to the growth plans of the company, the role may evolve over time. The candidate should be open to additional challenges and responsibilities.

In this Role, you’ll get to: 

  • Process orientated. Have the ability to identify gaps in processes and come up with solutions.
  • Analyze and interpret data in a methodological approach and provide ongoing reports.
  • Effectively communicate business cases and persuade multiple stakeholders to make changes and resolve issues.
  • Oversee financial reconciliations including reconciliation of transactions from various sources and investigation of discrepancies.
  • Be proactive assuring data integrity.
  • Be a confident and articulate communicator.

What you’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Strong Excel skills is a must.
  • Strong problem solving and investigative skills.
  • Ability to think out of the box.
  • Attention to detail; is data driven and process oriented.
  • Good communication skills, strong proficiency in English is a must.
  • Adaptable and fast learner who thrives in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in English is a must.
  • Some accounting knowledge is a plus as the individual will need to make assessment on financial statement impact arising from technical and process issues.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field.
